HumDrum night

What started as a video to capture Ruby's little words has changed into a classic home video of my family.  (I promise you Ruby's diaper got changed shortly after the video was taken... love the swinging diaper...)

Conrad and Amelia wanted to take some pictures so here you have their work.

I have to say they each did pretty good.
This one I set up with a timer and amazingly everybody is at least looking at the camera!
 fun times.

October's Overview

Blogging is on the backburner. Bottom of the totem pole, people. I wish I had more time for it, but life is busy. I love it that way! So from here on out I will probably be posting once a month and if you're lucky a bonus post every now and then.
These are the pictures I took during the month of October with brief captions.

Tower Grove Park.  Toree came from KC to visit!  It is so nice to see familiar faces and we had a really enjoyable time with them.  We swapped turns at the temple Friday, then Saturday we watched General Conference and went to the park.  We also got a yummy lunch at Rich and Charlie's.  Thanks Ryan and Lyndee!

I couldn't resist posting this picture.

Notice my mullet?  It is going to be gone soon!!!!  Hooray for haircuts by Brindy!
Conrad and Amelia riding bikes at 7:22 am once brisk October morning.
Thanks to the Miller's for the fire pit.  We have loved it!!!!!
Glamour Shot.
C and A play sooo well together!!!  Evidence.
Wanted a picture of the advent Witch chain.  Countdown to Halloween.
Conrad was so worried about decorating the outside of our house for Halloween so I bought the huge Jack-o-lantern garbage sacks to fill with fallen leaves.  It backired on me.  We didn't have that many leaves fall until after Halloween.

Love.

"Such a nice day, mom.  We want to eat lunch outside today."

Conrad with Amelia and neighbor friend Ellie.  Isn't she cute in her school uniform?

Our neighbor Jackie is a woman after my heart.  She found this sleeper at a Thrift Store and bought it for my little Ruby.  She wore it one night and grew out of it.

Ruby and Rhett.  They should get married.  Here's to hoping.

They're practically kissing anyway with all the toys they share!

pumpkin carving!

C: bat. A: cat.  R: strawberry.

Can't get enough

Tonight.  Ruby with a side of avocado all over her face and hands.  Sorry.

I tell ya that girl likes to kick.
I'll be the first to tell you how stinking CUTE she is!!!!
Ruby's first word is Dada.  Or maybe it's Ma.  Or maybe she'll fit right in with the The Gods Must Be Angry and speak Jul'hoansi.  We love her!!!

10K for Backstoppers

I ran a 10K this morning.  Presently I'm on Ibuprofen and I'm icing my knee.  It was so worth it!  I surprised myself.  I mean, look at me in the picture.  I'm 20 lbs heavier than where I'd like to be.  Anyway, I like to eat.  I also like to run.  Apparently I don't run enough.
Big thanks to Amberlee and Syleisa for motivating me to actually do it!  I did lose around 8 lbs while training for it.  Hurray.
My glasses started fogging up mid-way through the run so I took them off.  Big prize to the person who can guess where I put them?
My time was approximately 1:05:30.  I was thrilled to even finish it, let alone stick to my 11 minute mile pace (and shave a few seconds off).
Go me.... :)!
