Some of the times (more of our travels in Utah)

you could see our kids doing things like this:

loving that dog! (Conrad still wants a dog, Amelia calls almost every animal a dog, she's a little mixed up. :) )

Conrad in time-out. Amelia waiting. Sadie smelling the door. :)

Shoe fetish. Conrad loves to wear his dad's shoes. Amelia's trying mine out.

more shoe fetish:

Conrad would have jumped off that chair if I told him to.

Taking a nap? In the kitchen? ... Under the RUG???

These kids and their silly ideas these days.

Just a lazy afternoon.

Have I told you that Amelia likes to eat? If you forgot, here is proof.

That is a chocolate frosty from Wendy's.

I heard myself saying over and over to everyone, if you want to make friends with Amelia, just eat some food! It's so fun to have a kid that loves to eat!
(Note: Conrad had 2 days FULL of accidents, but he has been 97% accident free since then! I can count only 1 time he had an accident. It's been awesome!!!)

Making like a newborn and heading out

We're leaving tomorrow to go back to the good ole Kansas City, Missery. Wish us luck. I'll hopefully post photos of Christmas and etc. within the next.... um, can't make any promises, but probably next year sometime.

We're leaving in between storms, so we should be OK for driving. But pray for us still! Please! :)

By the way, Happy Birthday Madre! I hope the snow level outside is enough of a gift from us! ;)

Conrad's first bowling experience

The ball moved pretty slowly so I took all of these pictures in 1 of Conrad's turns.

Conrad got a strike at one point in the night, can you believe it? (yes, he had bumpers). Pretty cool stuff. He thought his shoes were thee coolest thing. They had flames on them. We had a really great time despite Amelia meandering all around (thanks to Grandma Cindy for walking the toddler!) and both kids had belly issues, I had to make a few too many trips to the bathroom to change diapers. Josh scored with 2 new bowling balls and a bag [from his brother's score at an auction of sorts]. We really had a fun night!

classic
Christmas morning! Amelia honed in on the chocolate.
Grandpa honed in on the cute. Not to brag or anything.
What Conrad was doing the majority of the time, flying his rocketship.
What Amelia did the majority of the time: loving her new stroller.
Isaac, Brielle and Conrad. We missed you Levi!!!
getting a talkin' to.
Amelia and Conrad riding on their Coaster Cars! (wiggle bikes)
Josh pounding away on one of the many coaster cars he set up for everybody. Y'all owe us for the labor. :)
Aw, just cute. Auntie Jeni.
I got burned out of taking pictures during the day that I hardly took pictures that night. But this one was so cute.
YES, we made it!

Memories

light the corners of my mind. Here are just a few pictures from random moments in a random order so you can blow them up and look at them larger than life!

The hearing aids Conrad and Sadie the dog destroyed. What a horrible 24 hours as we waited to find out if they were covered under insurance or not. Yes, they were covered!!! In the meantime, we were considering selling Conrad for $4000 bucks to pay for them.
I really was feeling bad that me and Josh haven't had a picture taken of the 2 of us for a long time. This was the day of our anniversary. I took about 13 pictures similar to this one, and this was the one I liked the best.
Long story... but it comes down to Amelia being shy and Eric holding her right after her nap. We all thought she fell back asleep! She was just playing dead! hahaha, it was highlarious.
Me and Amelia playing in Grandma Jane's toy basket. There happened to be a devil hat and a little bumblebee-ish-like hat. I made Erin take our picture. It was just fun.
Look at their little mouths. THE SAME!
Conrad taking a nap under the kitchen rug.
And of course Amelia, on the other end of the rug! Kids and their toys. Who knew it would be a kitchen rug and a chair cushion for a pillow?
That's all folks!

Are y'all ready?

It's Tuesday, Christmas is in 3 days. I just want to hear back from all my friends how all y'all are all doing. :)
Comment away! Consider it your Christmas present to me! Merry Christmas!

(so impersonal, I know. I'm just bored right now...)

:)

by the way, did you see cjane's blog? You can copy her idea and post that on YOUR blog, just for kicks and giggles. Thanks.

Good link, for my sis Jeni

For my sibling party this year I made this Minestrone Soup that "tasted like pizza." It comes from Our Best Bites. Everybody loved it.
This website has so many good recipes. I made the Chipotle Chocolate Chili for a ward Halloween party, Kim-the-girl made the Caramel Apple Cider and the Caramel Toffee Fruit Dip for a baby shower from this website, too. You just can't go wrong with their recipes. I've gambled with all of their recipes (the Minestrone Soup serving to 7 other couples, the Chili being served at a church function) and it's been a safe win. The name of their website describes what they aim to present. It's so cool, I love it.
Happy cooking/baking!

6 Year Wedding Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to me and Josh today.

We celebrated rock-star style. Not really, but it sounded cool.

We went to Savior of the World last night thanks to my sweet cuz Chelsea and her boyfriend James~ they hooked us up with the tickets. I can't decide which part was my favorite... spending time with my husband, spending time with my husband or spending time with my husband.

It was soo nice. I think it should be one of the 10 commandments that every husband and wife spend quality time together once a week. Away from kids. No pressures.

After we saw Savior of the World we got snacks from some grocery store in SLC. I picked fruit and some pico de gallo that was way too onion-y for an anniversary celebration. Josh picked a bunch of other yummies. I can always count on him for a good variety of junk food. Sweet vs. Salty. Fruity & Chewy vs. Chocolate loveliness.

We splurged and stayed at Little America Hotel. Beautiful hotel. Red and gold padded walls along the hallways. We haven't stayed at a hotel just the 2 of us for 4 years, since the month we got pregnant with Conrad. Since our 2 year anniversary. Crazy how time flies. I still feel the same as I did back then, just got a couple of kids tagging along with me now! I feel like our kids arrived from the stork, just all of a sudden they're here and mine, but please don't take them back, Mr. Stork.

It's lovely to be a wife and mom. I've had my moments, of course. But it is so nice to have these kids and wonderful husband. I am lucky. Blessed. Blessed! Blessed!

Thank you Josh for your amazing-ness. The most amazing thing is that you married me!

Credits go to Chelsea and James for the tickets, Grandma Jane and "Favorite Aunt Erin" for baby-sitting.

Random Moments, Nov. 29th- Dec. 9th

What Amelia looks like when she's excited

What Ali looks like when she's posing in the morning

What Conrad looked like for this one moment in his life and I'm sure he'll be embarassed of this picture in years to come.

This kid played with the dog a lot.

lots.

Amelia got plenty of "kisses" from Sadie. Amelia's all sugar.

Not asleep, but the girl does love to sleep.

A sweet "favorite Aunt Erin" moment.

I knew this day would come! I used to baby-sit Ari and Sophie, here they are baby-sitting/entertaining my kids and Brielle. (By the way, Brielle is a favorite word around our house. Between Amelia and Conrad and the picture of Brielle's family on our fridge her name is mentioned a lot.)

Those silly kids will do anything for a picture. Yoga: Downward Dog.

Look at that form! That strength! It's all P90x baby. (Conrad is doing a yoga move, can't remember what it's called, but it's a good one!)

Josh absolutely loved his orthopedic surgery rotation today. He had to leave at 4:30 am and got home at 6 pm. Long hours!!!
Oh, weather for Thursday has made progress... our high is going to be zero! aaaaah!!!

11/26/09 (more of our Thanksgiving)

Aw man, I put the pictures in backwards order. SCROLL DOWN 5 pictures if you care to read my (argueably) funny captions.

Don't read this sentence below just yet!!!

(the end)

Amelia was broken hearted and came to her mother dearest for consolation: her mask back on.

"Uh-Oh, she's not a friend of mine," says Conrad. "I'm swiping her mask."

Oh, peek a boo, it's Amelia.

A friend of Conrad's?...

Who is that sneaky person? Could it be...

STOP/START here. and go up.

Ok, on with the regular order. Sorry, I know that was annoying.

Conrad didn't care for the pie on Thanksgiving, but I think he liked Ashleigh's chocolate birthday cake.

Cute cousins. :)

Senior Citizens: Grampy Scott, Great Grandpa Shepherd, Lucy and Grandpa Max. We love them all!

...even the ones with Diet Coke habits!!!
