I never gave Conrad an official birthday party with his friends, so a couple days ago at Park Day I showed up with cupcakes and Spiderman stickers and told Conrad it was his birthday party. I felt so bad not throwing a party for him, especially since we hyped it up so much! And he would occassionally mention his birthday party. We were invited to a neighborhood Brazil party and when I told Conrad where we were going he started thinking it was his birthday party. Oh, I have a tender heart for this kid.
Park Day was October 13th, so it was actually Conrad's 37 month birthday party. I think I took 3 pictures because I was so busy chasing him and Amelia around. But I did capture a video of the friends singing Happy Birthday!
This last Sunday I caught my kids being cute.
She really loves her brother. Well, most of the time.
He is a classic big brother. Always teasing her with her binky... being too rough on her (he is a major snuggler/wrestler and it drives Amelia crazy). He follows her around a lot. She happily plays by herself and he is constantly taking away her toys and seeing what she's up to.
Ok, sneak peak at CONRAD's costume. Isn't that face adorable? Don't worry, Conrad wore it first. We couldn't resist trying it on her, too.
That face really reminds me of Grandma Jane and my sister Jeni. It's nice having a small reminder of them out here away from them!
This is one of Amelia's first words. I love how she says "on."
Other words she says:
doggy, then followed with a high-pitched squeal of excitement trying to sound like a dog. The typed word just doesn't do it justice. You have to see it.
mommy, daddy (she even calls the construction workers in our house doing the remodel that... it's kind of awkward!),
"Dee-dee" is good for binky and blanket,
"sssssss"=shoes and socks, also works for cheese, and brush your teeth,
sandwich= "issss"
apple ="bopbee",
"nana" for the obvious= banana,
"wall" for the bathtub tile wall.
"cookie" for cookie AND cupcake. works both ways.
