WHO'S YOUR DADDY?

This year for Father's Day Josh did not need any presents.  He has bought his own presents for the last couple of months in preparation for moving.  All types of tools (don't ask me what they are, I have no idea), but we're talking like, tools for carpentry work.  (He just made bunkbeds for the kids, and shelves for our garage, and a floating shelf!!!!!!)  Anyway, so for Father's Day I was stumped.

I was looking at the Or So She Says blog (it's linked on my sidebar) and saw this cool idea.  The Annual (insert your last name here) Competition.  Or, WHO'S YOUR DADDY, NOW?  The kids and the dad compete for this awesome trophy by competing in little random games.  Read about it here.

I invited the McClintock's over for dinner and for the festivities.  We love their family!

I found our games from looking at Minute To Win It's website.  First, we played FLOPPY FISH.  Tissue paper cut into fish shapes.  Blow the fish until it crosses the finish line.  First one over wins.
Conrad could not figure out the technique.  He kept blowing on top of the fish, rather than behind it.  He is such a competetive little soul he was heartbroken when he lost.  Oh well, you win some you lose some.

Josh and Kyle competing!!!

Another game was where you stack blocks.  The kids version was just to see who could get the most blocks stacked.  I'm not sure if Amelia or Conrad won.  It was close.
Amelia's blocks were pretty straight and balanced.  She takes the slow and steady course.
The dad's had to balance 5 blocks on a paper plate on top of their head.
The arms say it all.  Way to go, Nancy.
Hut, Hut, Hike.  Throwing toilet paper through your legs and aiming to get through a Hula Hoop.
That toilet paper will be recycled in our guest bathroom.
Balloon Float.  Basically the kids version was to see who could keep 1 balloon afloat the longest.  Josh and Kyle had to keep 3 balloons afloat the longest.
We laughed so hard our faces hurt.  This is definitely going to be a fun Father's Day tradition.  Oh, are you wondering who won?

Amelia's birthday was May 15th!

We celebrated Amelia's birthday May 14th.  Her birthday was sandwiched between Josh's graduation in the morning/afternoon of the 14th and leaving for Florida the next morning (her actual birthday).
Millie bean insisted on being in the high chair.

Thanks Grampy for the gifts!
As well as Grandma

Spoiled!

Florida

McKall, Conrad and Katie the cousins
This post is all skeewompus.  I am sorry.  I have been working on this darn thing for hours now and I am frustrated with how much time I am wasting trying to line up  my photos, fix my blog's sidebar over there ---> and I am calling it a night.
All done with Disneyworld.  Sad.

Zonkered

The main man, himself.

The girl did not want to meet the princesses.  What a let-down.
Ruby was a doll!!!
Hogwart's
Katie and Conrad going on the Star Wars ride.  Sweeet.
Amelia looovvved Parker!!!

Proof that on Amelia's birthday she wore a tutu and a pink shirt.  The shirt said "birthday girl" and had a big number "3" on it.

Happy 30th Josh.  Too bad that shirt was only worn for this picture!!!!!!!
Lion King Show!!!
Perhaps I'll figure this new blog layout sometime soon.  ARGH!!!

from today

Ruby is 5 months old today. If you would've asked me how old she was last week, I would've told you 4 1/2 months old. On Sunday, if you would've asked me how old she was, I would've said she is 6 months old. I am so not with it!!! I was so confused for a whole day as to how old she was. I tell you what. We've been working so hard getting our house all figured out. I no think good. this boy loves his sis. Perfect picture!

Flashback. Amelia. Just for fun... comparing little baby faces. Pretty similar! :)

I want to have 6 more kids. Ruby is so fun. Of course, that's me talking before she starts teething, before Josh starts back to work, before she is mobile. We're in a good stage right now. Phew.

Muggable.

She is pure sugar. Ruby gets lots of attention when we're out in public. I love this girl!!!

Pulled

And the to-do list goes on...
I really really want to blog, but you see, my house still has quite the long list of to-do's.
I want to write all about Conrad talking about Grandpa Shepherd's waffles. I want to write about Amelia asking me to draw her a picture of her cousins. I want to post a video of Ruby eating rice cereal for the first time. AND of course her rolling over. I want to post a virtual slide-show of our new house. And post the pictures from our awesome trip to Florida!!!!!!! And post the pictures from our move!
But...

I also want to make drapes that cover our (now bare) 9 feet tall windows. Hello neighbors, you don't mind seeing me walk around in my underoo's, do you?
And do the dishes in the sink.
And put away all the toys scattered around the house.
And organize my food storage.
And take that pile of stuff to goodwill.
And sell the coffee table on craigslist.
And weed-whack the ground cover that's spilling over into the grass.
And make my bed.
And wash that load of laundry containing Ruby's 3 different shirts she wore today.
And mop the popsicle stickiness off the kitchen floor.
And iron Conrad's church clothes for 9 am church....

But at least today I got some weeding done, some drapery fabric picked out, a designated burger place accomplished, a load of laundry folded,

and I posted a blog.
