We had a BIG birthday party for Conrad! It was a LOT of prep-work. But it was worth it to see this boy smiling! In no way, shape or form can I take credit for the work involved in his birthday party. This was Josh's baby. He did SO much of the grunt work.

| He LOVES this new Lego Batman toy! |
We had a Skylander's theme birthday party as that is ALL he thinks and talks about lately. I'm including pictures of our games and decorations. Skylander's is a video game that is SO cool. Basically there are these figurines that you place on top of a "Portal of Power" connected to your gaming device (XBOX, WII, whatever). There are 8 Elements. Undead, Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Magic, Tech, and Wind. Each Element has a whole slew of different characters. Whoever came up with Skylander's is making BANK because you have to buy each figure separately! But it is kind of a fun thing for Conrad to save up his money and plan which ones he wants to buy next! He also got a few for his birthday from his friends and from us. I've caught him a few times just staring at all his Skylanders, one time he even said, "I have so many Skylanders! This is the best ever!" If you know Conrad, then that is a big deal!

| They had to throw a ball of lava at these cans to knock down the "chompies" and the Villain: "Kaos." (I found a red ball that lights up when it makes impact~ perfect lava ball!) |
| This boy has the same birthday as Conrad's!!!! |
Decorations:
| Sugar Cookies with store-bought vanilla frosting. Warm it up, then dip the cookies in the frosting and it makes a nice non-smushable frosting. I crushed jolly ranchers up to look like Skystones. (I think that's what they're called!) |
| I've got my eye on you |
| The boys had to wear these glasses, then throw some sticky eyeballs (saved from last year's Halloween) at the Eyeball target. Only the 2 birthday boys got to do this one due to shortness of time. We had a few prety upset boys. I felt bad! |
| Some sort of a matching game. We used a laser pen for them to pick which card to turn over. Lesson learned: use less cards next time. This ended up getting cut short because it was taking way too long with our schedule. |
| Can't seem to move this up by "Hail to the whale" Forgeev mee. |
| This is from the Wind Element. Tissue paper in the shape of Bee's. They had to blow them across the room. |
| Magic Element: Josh hid food coloring under a pile of baking soda. The kids had to pour the magic potion (Vinegar) into the cup and see what craziness ensued! There were different colors corresponding to each element. So he told the kids that whatever color their potion turned was the element they naturally had! |
| This is what they all wanted to do anyway!!!! I'm telling you it was pure craziness! |
| We had to sing Happy Birthday a 2nd time for Ian! He is such a happy smiling mellow kid!!! |
| Pretty proud of our party Favors. I have come a looong way!!! They each earned a treat for each "element" game that we did. So yes, there were 8 games. With 11 kids. They ended up all getting put into bags at the end of the night rather than them getting them at the actual moment of completing each game. |
Looking at these pictures makes me a bit melancholy. Didn't he just barely turn 2??? So weird to me. He is turning into an amazing kid. Makes me so happy to see how he is growing into a great kid. We love you Conrad!!!
