The best day to be born

Thanks, mom, for having me.
July 3rd is the best day ever to get birthed.
the 4th of July is great and stuff, but then you share your birthday with the WHOLE COUNTRY.
The 3rd of July is better.  There's always fireworks on the 3rd, guarantee it.  Unless the whole country is in a drought and dried up and so hot the roads are buckling and cars are jumping.  But that's beside the point.
Yesterday I turned 29.
I didn't magically stop being a mom, so I still had to deal with whiny kids.  What's new.  But I did get to have lunch at Heidi's house (she's a peach, I tell you).  Maria and Annie came over.  And Tana for a bit.  Heidi kept Conrad and Amelia at her house (what a saint, I tell you.)  I came home, decorated some cute cupcakes.  Took a nap while Ruby napped.  Then we went swimming at Tana's house with a bunch of other awesome people.  I tell you what, I am so lucky to have a birthday on the 3rd.  Always a party for me that day.  Even if they didn't know it was my birthday.
And on the 4th of July everybody asks you, "Did you have a good birthday?!?"  Because you see everybody the next day again!!!
Thank you to my family and friends that called and left me voice mail (I promise I was busy, not avoiding you!!!)  Or texted me sweet birthday wishes.  Those made my day.

Pictures from May trip

I kind of like them, like... a lot.

My tip-toer

Me oh my Amelia has been such a trouble maker lately, I thought I should document some of the stinky things she has done lately.  For posterity.
She wants to go to beauty school when she grows up.  So she can legally cut her own hair.  Folks, it's happened a handful of times since the first time I documented on here.
Trimmed Cooper's whisker's with finger nail clippers.
Trimmed Cooper's hair with scissors.  (thankfully not noticeable)
Poured a bowl of apple cinnamon cheerios, chocolate syrup and milk and let Cooper have the heaping bowl.

Ok, that's all I got for now.
My head only remembers the huge things.
